Submission Guidelines

The Editor invites submissions appropriate to the mission of the D.H. Lawrence Review. The journal publishes articles, notes, and bibliographies. Manuscripts should not exceed 8000 words without prior authorization. Submissions must not be under consideration elsewhere, and the D.H. Lawrence Review does not accept previously published material. Payment is in contributor copies only. Authors receive two hard copies of the issue in which their articles appear.

Send submissions electronically as an attachment in Word to Eleanor H. Green, Editor, ElenGre7@aol.com.  Essays should be formatted in the Modern Language Association citations style.  Any notes should be in the form of endnotes and come after the text of the article.  The Works Cited page should follow any endnotes.  Submissions should contain one-inch margins, 12 pt font, and double spaced throughout, including endnotes and bibliography.

The D.H. Lawrence Review is a juried publication. Evaluation of submissions will normally take up to four months.

Book reviews are assigned by the Associate Editor for Book Reviews.  Send copies of books for review to Ron Granofsky, 19 Cavendish Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M4E 1N9.

Cite the Cambridge Edition of the Works of D.H. Lawrence (Penguin reprints of CUP editions have similar pagination) using the following abbreviations in your parenthetical citations. When CUP or Penguin editions are not yet published, make all parenthetical citations to the following standard editions.
